WizzHire HR · Onboarding
The first week runs off a checklist.
Publishing a record starts the default onboarding checklist on its own, and a leaver starts the offboarding one. Every step has an owner and a due date, so the first week does not depend on somebody remembering it.

It starts itself
Nobody has to remember to start it.
The checklist is attached to the record, not to a person's memory, and every date on it is counted from the start date you entered. Save a list as a template and the next hire gets the same one.
- Three kinds of step: tick when done, upload a file, or fill in a form, which reuses the questionnaires and booking links you already have.
- Each step shows its owner and its due date, and the board says how many are done, how many are overdue and how many still need an owner.
- Scope it to the whole company or to the people who report to you, so a manager opens the board and sees their own team.
Owners
A step nobody holds is a step that never happens.
So a step always has somebody. When the person it was meant for cannot hold it, it falls to HR and says why, rather than sitting in a queue nobody reads.
It falls back, and says so
Their manager has no login yet, they have no manager set, the named person has left: each case puts the step with HR and prints the reason on it.
Submitted, or sent back
A step that needs checking is accepted or sent back carrying your reason, which reopens the owner's task instead of ending in a message.
Skipped, with the reason kept
A skipped step stops holding the onboarding open, and the reason stays on the record. Finishing early records what was actually done.
When the start date moves
A start date that moves does not quietly break the plan.
It happens on most hires. The board notices, tells you what changed, and waits for you to decide rather than shifting a fortnight of work behind your back.
You are told, not surprised
A banner says the start date moved from one date to another, and that nothing has been shifted yet.
Shift the rest, or do not
Every unfinished step moves by the same number of days. Finished steps stay where they are, and the shift can be put back.
Offboarding works the same way
A leaver starts the offboarding list, so the equipment, the handover and the final documents are a checklist rather than a memory.
See it with your own first week.
A short call, your checklist on the screen. We build your onboarding list, set the owners and save it as a template while you watch.
