Cookie & Storage Policy

Last updated: June 4, 2026

1What This Policy Covers

WizzHire primarily uses browser localStorage and sessionStorage rather than traditional HTTP cookies to store data on your device. This policy explains what data is stored, why, and how you can manage it.

For a broader overview of how we handle your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

2Essential Storage

These items are required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled.

Authentication tokens

Securely stored JWT tokens that keep you logged in and authenticate your requests to our servers.

Session data

Cached profile information for faster page loads and temporary tokens used during verification flows (e.g., OTP).

Device recognition

Device identifiers that allow you to skip two-factor authentication on trusted devices.

This data is stored in your browser's localStorage and is cleared when you log out or when the relevant tokens expire.

3Preference Storage

We store a small number of preferences locally to improve your experience.

Language preference

Your selected interface language.

Consent choices

Your analytics and storage consent preferences.

Navigation state

Temporary data such as redirect destinations after login. Cleared when your browser tab closes.

4Analytics, Error Tracking & Marketing

These services are optional and only activated with your consent. You can manage your preferences using the consent banner that appears on your first visit.

Google Analytics

Consent required

Google Analytics 4 measures website traffic and conversions (page views, referral source, demo requests, sign-ups) so we can improve the site. Sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies. Active only in production and only after you accept analytics.

Sentry

Consent required

Error tracking and performance monitoring to help us fix bugs. Collects anonymized technical data about errors. Active only in production.

SendGrid

Transactional only

Email delivery service for transactional emails (e.g., password resets, application updates). May include tracking pixels to confirm delivery.

lemlist

Marketing consent required

lemlist visitor tracking identifies visitors to our website and adds them to our contact list so our team can follow up about WizzHire. This goes beyond measurement: it links your visit to you as a person. Active only in production and only after you accept marketing.

5How to Manage Storage

You can view and clear stored data through your browser's developer tools (usually accessible via F12 > Application or Storage tab). You can also clear all site data through your browser's privacy settings.

Note: Clearing storage will log you out of WizzHire and reset your preferences. You will need to log in again.

6Third-Party Storage

When you use social login (Google, Microsoft, or LinkedIn), these providers may set their own cookies during the authentication flow. WizzHire does not control these cookies.

7Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie & Storage Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you through the platform or via email.
