Your data, your control

Your data is yours. This article covers the consent you give when you apply, how to withdraw it, how to stop marketing emails, how to download a copy of your data, and how to deactivate your profile.

See and withdraw your consents

Profile → Privacy

Open Profile → Privacy for every company that has a consent record for you. Each row shows the company, its current status (granted, withdrawn or not given), and when it last changed.

  • Withdraw or grant again: flip the switch on a row. It applies immediately, there is no confirmation step, and you can switch it back later.
  • Consent expires on its own: a granted consent lapses after 24 months unless you renew it. Active rows show the exact expiry date.
  • Nothing in the list?: then no consent decision has been recorded for you yet. Rows appear once you apply to a company that asks.
What withdrawing does not do: it ends that company's permission to keep you in its talent pool for future roles. It does not delete applications you already sent, and it does not remove you from the applicant list for jobs you applied to. Those stay with the company under its own retention policy.

When terms change

When WizzHire publishes a new version of the consent text and marks it a material change, a banner appears at the top of the page listing every company you have granted consent to. Read the new terms there, then choose Re-affirm to keep the consent or Withdraw to end it. Dismissing the banner only hides it for a while, it does not answer for you.

When WizzHire's own Terms & Conditions change, you get a dialog you have to answer before you can carry on: accept the new terms, or log out.

Marketing emails

Settings → Email Communications

One switch controls product updates and digest emails. Turn it off in Settings, or use the unsubscribe link inside the weekly digest itself, which works without logging in.

Download your data

Settings → Account Management

Click Download Your Data and WizzHire builds a JSON file and downloads it on the spot. It holds your profile, CVs, applications, saved jobs, recent search history, your own messages, your email preference, and your token wallet if you belong to a company. Nothing to wait for, nothing emailed to you.

Deactivate your profile

Settings → Account Management

Deactivating signs you out and pauses job recommendation emails. You confirm with your password, and you come back by simply logging in again: the profile reactivates with everything still in place. Keep in mind that deactivating is not deletion. Applications you already sent stay with those companies under their own retention policy, and you do not disappear from their applicant lists. To stop the weekly digest, turn off Email Communications in Settings, and to have your data erased, contact Support.

Cookies and analytics

On your first visit a banner offers Necessary Only or Accept All. Necessary storage keeps you signed in and cannot be turned off. Accepting all also allows analytics that help us improve the platform. Your choice is remembered in your browser, so to change it later you clear this site's data in your browser, which also signs you out.

Your rights

You can act on your data rights at any time:

  • Access and portability: download a copy of your data as a JSON file, from Settings.
  • Rectification: fix anything wrong by editing your profile directly.
  • Withdraw consent: end future-roles consent per company, from Profile → Privacy or the withdraw link in the guest application email.
  • Erasure: deletion is not self-service yet. Contact Support and we will process your request.
