Import Candidates (CSV / CV)
Add candidates to a job's pipeline yourself, one at a time or in bulk from a CSV.
Where to add candidates
Two buttons on the hiring pipeline
Open a job's hiring pipeline from Applications. At the top you'll find two buttons: Add Applicant to add one person by hand, and Import Candidates to bulk-import from a spreadsheet.
Add one candidate by hand
Click Add Applicant to open Add Applicant Manually, then fill in the candidate's details:
- First name, last name, email: the only required fields.
- CV (optional): drop in a PDF or DOCX up to 10 MB. CVs can only be attached one candidate at a time.
- Phone, country, LinkedIn, notes: all optional, to round out the profile.
Import many from a CSV
Upload, map columns, review, import
Click Import Candidates, choose CSV file, and follow four steps: Upload, Map columns, Review and Import. There's no fixed template, you upload any CSV and map its columns to WizzHire's fields.
- Limits: up to 5 MB and 1,000 rows. Rows beyond 1,000 are dropped.
- Fields: first name, last name and email are required; phone, country, LinkedIn and notes are optional. WizzHire auto-suggests the mapping for you.
Review and fix before importing
The Review step shows how many rows are ready, invalid or duplicates before anything is saved. You can skip individual rows, and duplicates are caught automatically:
- Duplicates by email: the same email twice in your file, or someone who already applied to this job, is skipped instead of added twice.
- Fix and re-upload: download the skipped or failed rows, correct them, and import again. The rest go straight into the pipeline.
After importing
Imported and manually added candidates appear in the pipeline with an Added badge, so you can tell them apart from Registered applicants (who applied with an account) and Guest applicants.
