Generate follow-up questions with AI

Draft follow-up questions aimed at one screened candidate, edit them, and send them to the candidate in the app or by email.

What this does

Questions written for one candidate

Once a candidate has been screened, WizzHire can draft a short set of follow-up questions aimed at that specific person. The questions come out of the screening, so they tend to probe the concerns it raised and test the strengths it found, rather than asking everyone the same thing.

This is not the same as a pre-screening questionnaire attached to a job. That one is written in advance and goes to every applicant. These are drafted for one candidate, after you've read their assessment, and go to them alone.

Before you start

The candidate needs a finished screening

AI questions are built from a completed screening, so there has to be one. If the candidate hasn't been screened, the button isn't on the page at all. If a screening is still running, you'll have to wait for it to finish.

Why the order matters: the questions are drawn from the screening's conclusions, so there is nothing to write them from until it's done.

Draft the questions

2 tokens

On the candidate's AI screening card, click the draft button. WizzHire writes about five questions based on the assessment and shows them to you for review. You see the token cost before anything is charged.

  • Pick the language: so the questions reach the candidate in the language they applied in, which needn't be the one you work in.
  • The draft is saved: once you've paid for a draft it sticks around, so closing the modal or reloading the page doesn't cost you another 2 tokens.

Review, edit, then send

Editing and sending are free

The draft opens in a review step, and nothing reaches the candidate until you send it. What the AI wrote is a starting point:

  • Edit any question: reword anything that doesn't sound like you.
  • Delete the ones you don't want: five suggestions doesn't mean you have to ask five questions.
  • Add your own: write questions the AI didn't think of, up to fifteen in total.

What the candidate gets

It depends on whether they have an account

How the questions reach the candidate depends on how they applied:

  • Registered candidates: answer in the app, on their own application, and get a notification pointing them at it.
  • Guest applicants: get an email with a private link that opens the questions, since they have no account to sign in to.

Reading the answers

Answers come back onto the candidate's application. If you're comparing a whole group's responses rather than reading one person's, the questionnaire answers workspace is the better place to do it.
