Attach a questionnaire to a job
Two ways to put a questionnaire in front of candidates: on the job itself during creation, or as a Questions requirement on a pipeline stage.
Two places to attach it
On the job, or on a stage of its pipeline
A questionnaire on its own does nothing. It only reaches candidates once you attach it somewhere, and there are exactly two places to do that.
Attach it to the job and everyone who applies fills it in as part of their application. Attach it to a pipeline stage and only the candidates who reach that stage are asked to complete it. You can do both on the same job.
Attach it to the job
In the job creation wizard, go to Step 2, Additional Details. Every field in that step is optional, so scroll to the pre-screening questionnaire section and answer Yes, add questionnaire to open it.
Pick one from the Select a questionnaire dropdown. Each entry shows how many questions it has, and once you choose one you get a preview card with its title and description. If you have not built one yet, Create New opens the builder in a dialog right there, so you do not lose your place in the wizard, and the questionnaire you create is selected for you when you are done.
The version gets pinned
When you attach a questionnaire, the job stores the exact version that was active at that moment. Later edits to the questionnaire create a new version and leave the live job alone, so candidates never see the questions change halfway through a hiring round.
Attach it to a pipeline stage
Open the job's kanban board, open a stage's configuration, and go to its requirements. Add a requirement and pick its type. There are three:
- Questions: attach a questionnaire for candidates in this stage to complete. This is the one you want. Pick the questionnaire from the list, which again shows Active ones only.
- Document Upload: request a file, such as a portfolio or a certificate. Use this when you need an attachment, because questionnaires cannot ask for files.
- Interview Scheduling: ask the candidate to book an interview slot.
A stage requirement is the right choice when the questions only make sense later, for example a take-home task you do not want to put in front of every applicant.
Reuse one questionnaire across jobs
One questionnaire can be attached to as many jobs and stages as you like. You do not need a copy per role, and reusing one keeps the answers comparable.
When you open Answers on a questionnaire that is used in more than one place, WizzHire asks you to Choose a source first. Pick a single job or stage to read its answers on their own, or select several sources and view them combined.
